Foh San Dim Sum @ Ipoh

Foh San is one of those places that have become a must stop when the family passes by Ipoh. Its either here or the other dim sum place, Ming Court. I personally really enjoy eating dim sum because it comes in little bite size pieces and you always have a huge selection of food to choose from. That's my idea of a good breakfast.

I first visited Foh San when it was still in the old location on Jalan Dato Tahwil Azar. The space is extremely small considering the number of customers they have. I remember having to stand next to tables and 'book' it while waiting for the current patrons to finish their meal. The new space is much bigger and has been given a much more modern facelift. So now it look like one of those kopitiams.

Food is generally good though now you have to go get your food as opposed to it coming to you in the old shop. I think its reasonable considering the amount of customers they have. By the way, the new restaurant is MASSIVE. There's two floors and it is always packed to the brim. The food is good enough to warrant a visit and it's definitely one of the best dim sum that I've had.

But honestly sometimes it hard to tell how good something is because dim sum is well, dim sum. *oh no he didn't just say that gasps*   Haha, this is what happens when every time you eat out its for good food. Taste buds spoilt to the point where good is normal. But the food there is definitely fresh and there is a wide selection of things to choose from. Good stuff! Its been a long time though since I've visited this restaurant so I can't really recall the taste.
