Oh Glorious Sun
I've said it before but I'll say it again. Edinburgh looks really dull on a day-to-day basis but when the sun comes up it brings out a whole different side of the city. The meadows which is normally a big empty space transforms into a fiesta like atmosphere. Barbeque smoke trails across the park, blown by the wind.
'Summer' here is a little weird. The sun is blazing hot but at the same time you still have the chilly 16'C wind. So at times despite how hot it looks, it can actually be quite cold. Makes sense? Imagine walking around KL in the afternoon and freezing your butt off at the same time. Bizarre! I think it's perfect when you get a little higher to the twenties.
