This is the meadows during the week when we had a 'heatwave', resulting in absolutely gorgeous weather. It was the first time I saw so many people at the meadows basking in the sun and some even breaking out the barbeque. I got to walk around in a t-shirt all week and enjoy having lunch outdoors.
Some days a bunch of us would just head out, plant ourselves on a patch of grass, and chill. Best part is that I literally live next to this park and it's a nice way to start your day walking through the meadows to lectures.
Lecture theater! This is the place where most of the teaching happens. We have quite a big class, about two hundred of us. I love how the hall has an amphitheatre structure but it makes it really obvious when people walk in late to lectures. But that problem is quite simple to navigate around. Just don't come late!
I really enjoy the science and anatomy lectures. Sociology ones tend to be quite dry or I would say that it takes a little bit more effort to appreciate. It's interesting adapting to this whole new way of learning. For example, taking down lecture notes like a real university student.
Anatomy practicals are amazing, where you get three solid hours in the lab with human tissue. I think this is the only time where you actually have the chance to pick the brains of your lecturers. The way they explain the mechanisms and workings of the human body is so simple that I would just smile; fascinated at how much that makes sense. Pretty awesome. That and the fact that we get to strut around in our fancy fifteen pounds brand new white lab coats. We are but a stethoscope away from looking like real doctors.
