Steak, sunshine, and wine

Tuscany, the land of vineyards, sunshine, and multimillion dollar mansions. This is from two years back on a trip around Europe with Carl and Jordan. We found this hostel in the outskirts of Florence where a millionaire basically opens his massive estate to backpackers. I remember it being less than 20 euros per person a night for a fully equipped apartment and access to the rest of his property which includes a massive infinity pool. 

Look at the size of that steak!! Simple seasoning with salt, pepper and a secret spice I can't recall. Be bought these groceries at a local market. We cycled down the hill to get there, cycling back up was not so fun.

 

Fresh tagliatelle with sauteed bacon and carbonara sauce. And there was wine, lots of wine.

 

I can't wait to travel again this summer. It has been too long since I've used the camera for non-work related purposes. Five weeks to go!
